At Mordiford Primary School, we believe that school uniform helps children feel a sense of belonging and pride in our school community. We also want to ensure that our uniform remains affordable and accessible for all families.
From September 2026, schools in England are required to limit compulsory branded uniform and PE kit items to a maximum of three items in primary schools. [schoolatlas.co.uk], [latimertuition.com]
A variety of branded uniform items are available through our uniform supplier. Our preferred branded items are the red school sweatshirt or cardigan, the grey school shirt, and, from Year 1/2 onwards, the black PE T-shirt or sweatshirt. However, we understand that every family’s circumstances are different, and there is no expectation that families purchase every branded item available.
The most important thing is that children look smart, wear their uniform with pride, take care of it, and come to school feeling comfortable, confident and ready to learn as valued members of our school community.

The required school uniform is as follows:

  • Plain grey school trousers (short or long)
  • Plain grey skirt or pinafore dress
  • Grey embroidered polo shirt/ Plain grey polo shirt
  • Red school sweatshirt or cardigan / Plain red sweatshirt or cardigan
  • White, grey or black socks or tights
  • School style summer dress (check) in red and white
  • Sensible black shoes, not trainers and no flashing lights.

  • Black socks
  • Trainers

  • Embroidered Black joggers/ plain black jogging/tracksuit trousers

  • Football boots (KS2)
  • Hair band (for pupils with long hair)
